The Struggle

mrbleasdale

Every day the world thinks we climb

Yet we struggle we struggle

Every day we continue to smile

Yet we struggle we struggle

Every day showing social media we’re fine

Yet we struggle we struggle

We keep moving on having some plan

Yet we struggle we struggle

We train and lift weights looking fine

TO COPE WITH THE STRUGGLE

We push people harder away

Yet we struggle we struggle

Going to bed means another day

As we continue to struggle

Pretty soon all you realise

Is we struggle we struggle

It used to all end with a line

No more more struggle

Times goes by made you realise

There’s strength in the struggle

Is this revealing or fiction. I'm asking myself this because if it is a revealing piece then serious consideration should be given to taking ones self off the treadmill of struggle. Continual struggle will do serious damage to mental health.

Hoping to see a more light hearted lifestyle reflected here for you.

It was the very first poem I wrote so some of its self reflection but some of it’s about how we show the world a very much difference view than what’s going on inside. But it’s about realising that you can draw strength from the struggle.

“It all used to end with a line” is how addictin can be used to try and fight the struggle.

I do try to end my poems with some positivity.

This group mps is a great place for seeing how poets use poetry as a self healing process. I was surprised to see on your profile that you have only read four of other peoples posts on here. I want to encourage you to read some more of them an join in with all the commenting that goes on. It's a great way of seeing other peoples thoughts and sharing. Online friendships develop and positive vibes are always in the air.

That strength in the struggles we each achieve shows us how to cope with each new moment in a better way and each moment then becomes more wonderful.

        'a marching line
        to - match
        each unique struggles, reply
        penned as that revealing infusion
        of raw: fighting spirit
        we call upon
        while traversing those trenches
        of life'..
a great distillation of self-mined insightful, commentary
weaving self-revealing potency of validity, within abstracted perspectives on society's misery..
a great read dear poet, thanks for sharing,
        'we all started peddling
        with our bravery, clutched
        in the hands
        of life's training wheels'..
