All

John Prophet

All.
All human
endeavor.
Millions
of years
in the
making.
All who
ever lived.
Great works
of art,
literature,
music.
All conquerors,
great
and small.
All the
great minds.
All known
intellect.
All religions.
All who
talked to
God.
All who
haughty
felt superior,
in control,
elite.
All the
science.
Human
civilization.
Everything
human,
center
of the
universe.
Perspective
and humility
in short
supply.
Brought
down to
size.
All brought
down to
Earth.
All,
just a
speck
in the
Martian
sky.
Humbling.

Nice job on this one! Definitely puts things in perspective. As always, very much enjoy reading your work.

This speck upon which we live is just that, a speck in the Universe.

indeed, so blatantly articulated even some of us most blinkered can't ignore:
    'its surgical precision of poignancy'..
    a great write dear poet!
