Just Maybe

A.H. Browning

The visions in my mind
Are often felt yet left behind
The longings of my heart
Hold me sometimes, set apart

The impulse in my soul
Is often one I can't control
Do you know the dreams I taste
Or is this all just want and waste

What sun awakes to give us breath
The fickle whims of Life and Death
Can't we please just have one day
Where all our troubles fall away

I know my heart can beat or break
Not sure how much more it can take
I want to hope and just pretend
That maybe... Just maybe...

All might be well

Good rhymer – impressive bunch of couplets there.
I don’t think you are going to get much reprieve from your difficulties though – that’s life, I’m afraid…

A.H. I agree with Dave regarding the rhymes, but as an eternal optimist do believe all will be well (eventually). But it does depend on what you do.

          A fine write A.H.
There would be such a day, when all our troubles fall away - if only I would stop singing for 24 hours! heehee. I doubt I will though. I'm the cause of this misery. lol.
