Conversion

Fay Slimm.

Conversion.

Descent to despair can reach
darkest of worlds
yet as shadow's mood leaves
a new urge unfurls,
awakes stirrings of Self, tied
to anticipation,
beckons to sense held inside
painful failures
and as mind clears re-action
creates conversion,
shows rabid despair to have
lasting reversal.

  • Comment from author about the poem: There seems to be something worth remembering methinks in the quote above - water getting inside a ship will stay in my mind - hope you enjoy the few added thoughts on the subject of despair and its conversion.

We can all repair ourselves Fay, it just needs something to fix your eyes or heart on.

Great the way out was found, Fay. And should perchance it happen again, the reassurance of a map out should make the way easier.
Neat little job means it took much effort?

        • Fay Slimm.

Yes Dave I agree - conversion to inner peace does take much effort - the dark world is there yet it can be beaten with Self........... bless ya for all your support and encouragement on my pen's diverse writings..............

          Try as we may
          Influenced we are
          And therein lies the mass
That weighs on how we react

Much appreciate your quote and your post

here dear Fay, you've penned synchronised testimony, generation's removed
          articulating with clarity
just why this heritage we champion: that of poetry
as our chosen source to sought wisdom or solace
is a legacy that unfailingly stands the test of time and humanity's penchant for self-sabotage

          • Fay Slimm.

Sincere and thoughtful your review of my verse on Conversion - and I wholly agree that poetic writing deserves to be championed as best mode of sought and remembered wisdom - -- a grateful thank you dear L.B.
