On the days so dark and dull that life feels unending, keep in mind
Pink hearts and flowers
Candy that's given with kindness
Telling the woman next to you, just how beautiful she is
Getting coffee with your bestie and laughing at the fly stuck in her bagel
Looking at the things that make us feel loved
Going out of your way to make someone else know they are loved and noticed
Life brings grief, pain, and hardship
It can be cruel, rude, and unending
But for every ugly moment, there's a hundred more that shines
Let the little things fill your heart

- Comment from author about the poem: I've had a less than great attitude lately and this helped me to remember that the good, at least in my life, outweighs the bad a thousandfold and that's something to be thankful for.
