Warm in December

b-LAH-que

A flame at your core
Warm in December
We'd hardly let hearts pour
But now let's remember
The fires you sparked
Inspired us members
As family, but tragedy
Douses the embers

Your fire burned bright
Imprinted our vision
We still see your light
Still warms us from within
So laughter still rings
Though you're not still here
Your memory endlessly
Keeps your warmth near

The winter brings cold
We'd wish, as we shiver
For one touch of sunshine
We'd need just a sliver
Hither your birth!
Gave life to remember
Your spirit, one fearless
Keeps warm in December
