why do i even try
to be someone i know i am not
and whom others wish i was?
why do i allow myself
the pain of faking my image
when i know i should just be myself?
why do i torture myself
by being an illusion
like smoke and mirrors?

It is so good to be just yourself on your own but when we go out we all put on different mask for differing situations.
