I know that you feel you are always overwhelmed,
That your heart won't slow down,
And your head won't stop whirling,
As your mind is racing and you turn into a cold sweat,
But this is the out come of the anxiety and the pressure of your mind,
You must relieve some of this pressure,
That you put on yourself,
As you are not the earth,
This pressure will not turn you into a diamond,
Under such a heavy weight,
You are destined to crumble,
I know that you wear your anxiety like a jumper,
And your depression like a mask,
I know that people say that it is all in your head,
But I also know that doesn't make it any easier,
I know that life is hard,
I know that money is tight,
I know you feel you can't stop worrying,
About me and other things,
But I will be there for you,
Whenever you need me,
I will support you through anything,
I know that you love me,
But I want you to know that I love you,
And I always will,
No matter where life takes us,
Whatever happens,
just be you.

I love your poem. the first one I read on this site. I've often thought about what it would be like to talk to my old self.
thanks i am glad you liked it
As we get older we gain experience and experience leads us to the wonder that can be found in life - it is there for all of us.

a good read
wonderful in tone and empowering in its message
Sweet little pep talk. Like you found your own message in a bottle. Mind if I borrow this advice for myself?
