Plenitude Of Praise

Tune: Regent Square

('Light's abode, celestial Salem')

Psalm 148

*********

Praise the LORD from heavens, in heights

All angels, hosts, in delights

Praise Him, sun and moon, stars of light

Where He present there no night

Praise Him, heavens of heavens high

Yet He a LORD to us nigh

Let them praise the name of the LORD

For He spoke, and by His word

They were created, and also

Established them e'er, we know

Made decrees which they shall pass not

They stay in appointed lot

Praise the LORD from the earth, all you

Sea creatures, and all deeps too

Fire and hail and snow and vapours

Each to Him their praise outpours

Stormy wind fulfilling His word

For His commands it has heard

Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees

And all cedars join with these

To praise, and beasts and all cattle

Flying birds, and creatures all

Kings, queens, and all people give worth

Judges, leaders of the earth

Young men, old men, maidens, children

Let them praise the LORD's name then

For his name alone excellent

His reign is omnipotent

His glory is above the earth

And heaven, praise Him with mirth

He exalts strength of His people

It be the praise of them all

Israel, the Jews, a people near

To Him, worship, godly fear

And Gentiles too His people be

Praise Him universally
