Darkest night

Thelala

As the dark of the night sky approaches,
And the brightness of the moon appears,
The eerie darkness comes bounding in,
The time is getting late,
I am starting to get tired,
As black murky darkness falls in,
It rises within me,
When all the distractions of the world are gone,
My hope and confidence goes with them,
The chaos of life is ending,
The deafening silence begins,
I lay my weary head down on soft pillows,
But all i feel is the hardness of my thoughts,
All i can hope is that when sleep beckons me,
The doubt and fear i feel wont consume me,
When my memories and voices are closing in,
The terror surrounds me,
I have to fight till dawn,
Against the demons inside me,
And pray they do not win,
So on the darkest of nights,
It is not the blackness that frightens me,
It is being alone with my own thoughts,
And the darkness i know is inside me

That darkness can be dispelled if you just look at the light and see the wonder around you.
