another mile

dusk arising

Seems like
I've been travelling
along this road
for so long.
Looking
for a place
which I thought
I once knew
where it was
to be found.
Now it's all
become just
one more mile
along the road
so familiar
but with faces
I no longer see.
There are
just spaces now
where some
other place is.
Somehow not
meant for me.
See me wave
and pass on by
on a journey
I used to think
i knew.

If you wear a mask
for so long,
you forget who
you were beneath it

Very true d a, but as ever we can still see the real person through their eyes that we can still see.

wise words, utilised to ink a wonderful read
I like the drop-down framing/format, adds to that mile by mile theme (or step by step, as in line by line), or maybe I'm just misinterpreting..
thanks for sharing my friend, I have been reading your old posts while waiting, hope all is well
