My Body; Your Wreckage

rebmasters

Drunk on a doomed daydream,

looking into the soft light,

I stepped without seeing,

trusting thoughts & your truth.

Lying like a lover;

easy for you.

Edging into effortless ecstasy.

Steady now;

don't get too close.

Rough warning to ruder awakening.

Complacency, comfort carried far off.

Bawling on bare & brutal bedroom floors.

Your body like a cozy blanket

stripped off.

Wanting only to be whirled away and wrecked completely.

Love is merely cloying madness.

    I think those who have experienced that fast burning, all consuming - infatuation style love, will relate to your words easily
