Ignorance Reigns.

All my life it has been there,

Music has been there for me

And in my long life

I have listened to so much,

So much music.

It could be classical

Or jazz,

It could be opera

Or country,

It could be ballet

Or folk,

It could be rock, pop or progressive.

So many different types,

Different types of music

That is there for me.

Then I think about this music,

All this music.

I think I know so much about it

But music has the ability to surprise me,

Surprise me on a daily basis,

And that is when I realise

The more I get to know about music,

The more ignorant I realise that I am.

    Good write Gold.
    But you are not ignorant of that 4' 33" silent piece.
    A composer said he would make a 40 years silent piece of me singing, so ya won't hear me!

        I'd never think of you as ignorant. Rather i'd say "open minded to sounds as yet unencountered" or "one who finds pleasure in new places".

                such is life my friend, let us old souls at least take some comfort
                in the mere fact, that like that humble-Great Socrates:
                we accumulated enough knowledge - to realise, we know very little at all
                a rare feat of humility, in today's egocentric society..
