CLM

Leave it in the past,

Don't think about it today.

Don't let it tear apart your heart,

Isn't that what they say?

The memories still haunt me,

At least from time to time.

I can't just ignore the hurt they bring,

It will forever be mine.

Choices that I've made,

Things I thought I had let go.

Words that break my heart,

Feelings I never show.

It was too much to stand for me,

Hold my hand where the water meets the ice.

No, I never asked for that,

But the offer would have been nice.

I'm tired of the lies,

I want the truth, no less.

I'm tired of the proud ones,

Where you don't know which face to address.

I'm tired of the games

I never asked to play.

Yes, leaving this in the past would be the best,

But I don't know if I can today.

Those times ahead of you will be wondrous CLM, go for them.

Again you bring the realism of true feelings. This time the lingering hurt and injustice mostly put away but nonetheless still present in times of self doubt. REally relateable for me.

        Thank you
