CLM

If I'm dreaming, please don't wake me.

I've said it before.

But if this dream turns into a nightmare,

I beg you to show me the door.

All the sweet words, all the sweet gestures

Surround me where I stand.

Who knew I could still be forgotten,

No matter how tightly I hold to your hand.

I didn't beg to be loved,

It was just a dream I had.

But some days it's like you've fallen off the face of the Earth,

Leaving me alone and quite sad.

I hear your voice asking me to trust you,

To give you another chance.

And though my heart is saying the exact same thing,

Could I survive another dance?

One more dance, one more twirl, just once more around the floor.

If this ongoing dance continues to break my already broken heart,

Please, won't you show me the door?
