Good Lives For Each Of Us.

Goldfinch60

An Englishman, Irishwoman and a Scotsman

Were sitting round drinking tea,

Talking about life and times of old,

And where they would like to be.

The talk was sparked with humour,

And sometime it was sad,

But they all agreed together,

That their lives weren’t so bad.

The kind of lockdown you have suffered over there must have taken a toll - but not so much that you have given up. The warmth and sociability shines through those stanzas, Andy.

      • Goldfinch60

Thank you Dave, it is so good to be able to sit down and talk to people face to face now.

Appreciating life makes all the difference to health my friend - I love the first line and how you introduced a threesome who valued life despite all its challenges.

Thank you Fay, it seemed an ideal way of starting these words in an different way, I was the Englishman.

              you know what Andy
I learnt a similar lesson the other day
but I heard it from a Welsh: Athro
who I just happened to share a pint with
at some random pub, while toasting
our clear sky's of whimsical Spring..
such a light touch you have with your words of warmth, my friend

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you Mek, it is so good to meet with people again.

                Andy
