When I am Done
When I am done
What
Might I miss most
I wonder
Blue sky and sea
Green grass and
Yellow sun
Your lips on mine
Who knows
Perhaps, maybe
Not to mention
Gentle hugs
Being
Called dad
Being a brother
A partner and
Friend
A husband and
Lover
Hey, did I ever
Mention those
Fingertips ..
Oh’ yeah
So I did, but on
A different page
Entirely ..
Just maybe
Somewhere tween
Blue sky and sea ...

Many the unforgettable things we will miss my dear friend and you scribe them so well in this list which touches the heart of giving and love.
Thank you my dear Lady Fay ........................... x
A fine write Nev.
See how I save syllables, referring to your name in one syllable only?
Do shut up now Orchi. lol.
....................................... Nev say's thank you and sends his best regards
It that you, Nev? Or N for short?!
Nicely plucked snippets of occasion from a life lived in fullness. It's said it all flashes before us at the time of passing (how do they know LOL) and maybe the salient points will be clearer then. But here and now this was a rewarding read in the style which is very much your own and appreciated by this reader.... among many i'm sure.
Thanks a million DA .. and I do mean that .. you are way too kind though sir ... and just for that, I'm gonna let you into a secret .. just between you n me .. I very nearly drowned when I was in my mid twenties .. messing about in a domestic swimming pool in the middle of the night ...
I was saved by a young Dutch medic called Marrette .. but not before most of my life did genuinely seem to flash before my very eyes .. I dont think I ever did thank her enough for that ..

Good thoughts, Neville. I wonder about those quite a bit more at 82 than 22.
.................... its what most of us do as the years roll by kind sir ... ta for taking time to consider my scribble and above all.. stay safe ...
Those little things in our life can mean so to us Neville and you have put them into your words so well.
Andy
.............. Thank you kindly GF60 a most welcome visit sir as always ...
Neville
how I've missed your signature words of profound insight, wrapped
in that humble generosity of stylistic subtlety - ever deftly, you nudge
with your choice prioritisation of accessibility..
brilliantly paced my friend!
'one could simply use your words
as their last will and testament
(as a star-crossed lover, would borrow song lyrics)
and those who truly cared for them, will feel
like they received all the treasure in the world
by just hearing those lines of poetic warmth
and feeling their hearts, resonate
with the veracity of truth, imbued
within each syllable...'
You have such a way with you sir ... dont ever change .. I read you .. and feel a glow that might well melt permafrost ... thank you and true ..
