Prayers And Praises

Tune: Laudate Dominum

('O praise ye the Lord')

********

Psalm 84 v. 1-3

How amiable you tabernacles

My soul longs, e'en faints for them, to you calls

My heart and flesh for you, living God, cry out

And birds have found nest in your house, true, no doubt

Psalm 84 v.9-10

Behold, O God, you are our shield, look on

The face of your anointed, he your Son

For a day in you courts better than thousand

Elsewhere, door-keeper there I would gladly tend

Psalm 85 v.6-7

Revive us again, so we your people

May rejoice in yu, and witness to all

That pleas for mercy you will hear, it us show

O LORD, and sure your salvation shall we know

Psalm 85 v.10-11

Mercy and truth, met together they be

Righteousness, peace, kissed each other freely

Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness

Shall look down from heaven, the LORD will us bless

Psalm 86 v.6-7

Give ear to my prayer, O LORD do now hear

For you will answer, and hear my voice clear

In my days of trouble I shall call to you

Attend to me, answer, and help me anew

Psalm 86 v.10-11

For you be great, and you do wondrous things

You are God alone, each you worship brings

Teach me your way, O LORD, I will your truth seek

Unite my heart to fear your name, follow meek
