CLM

You didn’t see me.

You looked right through me

Like I wasn’t even there,

But you didn’t see me.

I met your eyes

And wished a thousand times

That I could impart my words through them.

Yet nothing was shared between us.

No spark ignited.

Time did not stand still.

You didn’t see me.

No sudden recognition

Or sharp consideration.

Your eyes did not glow

With the light of awareness.

No matter how many times I think back

There is nothing that can change the fact.

You didn’t see me.
