The Uneducated O.A.P

Feline Woes

I used to work in a garage, near wasteland, by a river.

A bedraggled cat, in the doorway, all of a quiver

He's been hanging around for weeks and weeks

Waiting for someone to give him tasty treats

My apprentice said " What's he hanging around for?"

"He'll get squashed sitting by that door"

I replied " It's feral, he's nor very tame"

He said "How do you know his name?"

LOL These uneducated youngsters do give us a good laugh. Full of good intention they can be so dumb though. One wonders whether it is the standard of education they get or were they just preoccupied with something else whislt education passed them by.
A good and very entertaining story my friend.

Too busy playing games on their phones, with, no doubt the teacher, not much older than the pupils joining in, allegedly.
          Thanks for looking in dusk.
          Keep cheerfully content

As I suffer from Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, this is nice easy to understand wordys for an old thicky like me, saves me diving in to googlyland to find d meanings for them. Either that, or yer spill chuker ain't working.
              Thanks Dave,
Keep the right way up down under

Strangely I had a similar experience a couple of days ago. I was talking to a neighbour and she had said to her eleven year old daughter "The early bird gets the worm" - her daughter said what does that mean, she had never heard of that phrase. It does make you wonder if these (ancient?) sayings will be lost in time.
              Good one Bill.

My Gran used to say " The light that burns twice as bright lasts half as long" to what she was referring to I don't know.
                Thanks Andy.
