Dark

John Prophet

Dark.
Dark forces
await.
Align.
Lust for
power
innate.
Innate
in some.
Some
less
scrupulous
souls.
History
replete with
examples.
Humanity
racked with
war.
Throwing
stones,
to dropping
nukes.
New dark
actors
emerge,
hide.
Hide
in the
shadows.
Writing
code.
Humanity,
face planted
to the
vehicles
of their
demise.
Freedoms
lost.
Mind control
flowing
straight
to the
soul.
Unwitting
army’s
forming
ranks.
Zombies
programmed,
following
orders.
Dutifully
enraged.
Fabric
of humanity
unraveling.
Ripping
apart.
Unscrupulous
dark forces
controlling
it all.

Those dark forces try to control us but some of us look beyond the darkness.

        Hi Andy,

We olders I think can see this ominous trend. It’s the youngens that are being taken in. Thanks for reading.

(indeed, how unerringly accurately you pinpoint
that poetic vision for insightful commentary
you choose to share, so generously dear poet)..
        'that cyclical nature, revealed
        through eyes who've traversed life
        to lands
        where silver haired - wisdom
        reflects, the morose predictability
        of humanity's pathetic willingness
        to hide
from all Truth's: but, those convenient - few
        entrusted to distract
while we wait, for someone to come along
        and sort-out, that inherited mess
we so effortlessly made far - far, worse...'

The pharoic satanic worldly powers this seems to be depicting in a dark chilling way. Kudos.

Plz do read and comment my newest poem too.
