Vicious Cycle

Harry Atkinson

A whole week

In one day

Just one day

Some day

This Sunday

Often I wish

For five of the seven

Instead of two

Merely breaking the surface

Come closer

Get closer

Maybe a little closer

Almost

In arms reach

Tickling the fingertips

Of those who desire

Whichever exit

Of this roundabout I choose

Will make my worn tyres worth it.

May the exit on that roundabout take you to a wonderful place.
