Ice Queen
She was iceberg blue
And colder
Than permafrost
She said
Level with me baby
What is it
You really
Want to do the most
..
Then she left
In such a hurry
With everything
She ever owed
Stuffed in a single
Supermarket trolley
It seems
The ice queen
Had been de-throned ..

A slight shiver of a compelling read Nev. - methinks that lady who left had icicled blood in her bones........... hope she never existed but in your poet's mind..........x
Thanks Fay... unfortunately she did exist as the main focus of some one else's life though .. my little scribble is reasonably accurate ..
... Neville ..... x
Some people do have ice in their veins and are never defrosted, they need to be avoided.

You just hit the nail on its proverbial sir so ya did ........... thanks a trillion GF60 ........ Neville
so clever: its kinda crazy but that 'trolleyed' finale, is imagery
I find so relatable, within the context of what modernity
has to offer, as a remnant semblance
of that extinct deity, we once - proudly, classed: 'A lady...'
(wonderfully witty, but as-ever
still locked-on target, with succinct commentary
my friend) a great read!
........................................ A right big thank you L.B ... chuffed to bits I am & no kidding
