Hear, Help, Hold Us

Tune: St Fulbert

('Ye choirs of new Jerusalem')

Psalm 17 v.5-7

***********

Hold up my goings in your ways

My steps through all my days

So that my footsteps do not slip

In troubled spots not dip

I have called on you, for you will

Hear me, attend me still

O God, incline your ear to me

Hear my speech, and me see

Show unto us your marvellous

Kindness, come to us, bless

O you that save by your right hand

[They] Who trust you in the land

Save them here from those that do rise

Up against them, hear cries

Of they which all unto you, pray

Bring them salvation's day

all those who share your faith Mr O .. will no doubt incline their ears on hearing these words in their head ..

... but if ya starts singing ... they might well decline, or even recline ..

.. so might I respectfully suggest you just mime ...
