Tune: Abridge
('Be thou my guardian and my guide')
Psalm 66 v.7-12 parts
**********
God rules by His power fore e'er
For it decreases ne'er
His eyes behold the nations, let
Rebellious not fret
Not exalt themselves to be proud
Nor evil to enshroud
O bless our God, you people, word
Of His praise make it heard
He holds our soul in life, safe we
Our feet not slip, so be
For you, O God, have us tested
Through troubles have us led
You have tested us as silver
Is refined, yet did stir
To bring us out to a large place
Whate'er things we did face

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. metre. The Psalm seems to have elements of trust, trials, and tests in it. The poem is based on part of the Psalm.

Good one Orchi, but he failed my test when dealing with Joyce.
