Sandy

Jerry Reynolds

She was wise
She was smart
With Athena’s
Crooked smile.
Flat footed, she ran,
Piper in the sand.
For a time
She was mine
California girl.

Ah those tunes the piper played when we were young. To recall is bliss, like a timely kiss from the little Miss.

    Thanks, Dusk. Yes Indeed.

Love the pace of this tripping piece of romantic nostalgia - - reading it twice embeds that smart gal in my memory too now Jerry......... great stuff.

Thanks, Fay. A bright thread in the tapestry of me.

acute characterisation detailing, in your succinct writing
helps define a crisp image, for us to relate with
although, whether that matches your 'California gal'
      is somewhat unlikely..
a fun shorty, thanks for sharing Jerry

Nonfiction. She was real the runner was a Polynesian girl that taught us to run flatfooted in the sand. It works.

This is quite brilliant squire ... just my cuppa tea but sshhh' dont let Orchidee get wind of it ... he might want a bit himself ............

Thanks, Neville. Orchidee can get his own girlfriend, should be a number of church ladies that would like a hymn writer.
