Take One.
Take one from a pair and trauma arises,
ocean buckles,
sunset ices,
waiting grows fists and memory sighs.
Take one from a duo and lost are smiles,
lonely ungloves,
solo arrives,
life loses bliss and future demises.
Take one from two and sorrow tightens
love uncouples,
oneness frightens,
lips stay unkissed and distress climbs.
Take one from other and spoil an item
parting troubles,
nothing revives,
sudden grief hits with no compromise.

Brilliant!
You must have felt the message of grief and thank you for reading my take on it L.B.
Losing a loved one is like losing a part of yourself. The only comfort is knowing that they're going to a better place and no longer suffer in pain. Wonderful write Fay. ; )
Yes faith must be a great help in such times A.P - - the picture inspired the subject and writing of pain after losing a person close and loved - true gratitude for dropping in for a read of Take One.
The loss of a loved one can shake you to the core. And we've all been there time and time again. No words can truly take away the pain, but knowing that others can understand your pain helps just the same.
YOU ARE WONDERFUL MOM
Sincere thanks to you Amon for the visit and read of Take One.
Well done, Fay. Will you be writing all seven takes?
Only this one take Jerry on grief's after losing to death a best friend or partner etc.
I became quite sad reading your words today for you really captured the loss. Compassion does nothing more than ease the flow of tears.
To lifts oneself from the depths of loss and soldier on in faith shows the true mettle of character.
Agree whole heartedly D.A. that the intent to soldier on after loss of a loved one takes mettle and courage. Thanks for the needed reminder that mourners are aided by sincere compassion though nothing can bring back again those who are gone..
I think we all grieve in our own inimitable and largely unique way ..
...
although there is little doubt there are social and cultural variances ...
...
You have clearly identified here with and because you are one .. poetically crafted a rather special dedication to loss and associated grief ................................................ x
Neville
Your compassionate words Nev. are gratefully received on behalf of those in this helpless position as loss of one loved brings numbing grief which only time can partially heal.
A fine write Fay.
Thanks my friend.
How can I select one, when poetry and life are inseparable twins?
Grief is difficult . You expressed this beautifully , Fay )
Although I guess we can experience grief in other areas of life , aswell
I have been through trauma and that has caused feelings of grief in me ... it’s a difficult feeling
Neville cracked something there when he suggested grief for different folks will be in different ways - a good summation of your carefully constructed and compassionate (Your word appropriate here) poem which covers that neatly, Fay.
So very meaningful to me Fay.
"sudden grief hits with no compromise. " so very, very true Fay, there is no compromise.
