In our long lives we need to work,
Work to earn money to live.
Some jobs we do not like
But need to go to them unwillingly.
Some are alright, nothing special
But we work hard at them,
To ensure we can exist in life.
Sometimes though we find a job,
A job we enjoy,
And in enjoying that job
We find that with that enjoyment
We never seem to have to work again.

It’s nice to be able to have a job that you can actually enjoy . Many people don’t have jobs they like and I guess it probably affects their moods , and how they feel
Glad you enjoyed your job
Thank you yellowrose, yes I am so grateful for the life I have had.

Give me retirement (in comfortable circumstances) any day - and preferably for as long as possible.
Good attempt to get 'em productive again though, Andy.
I am retired and have been for 9 years and I am busier than ever.

Creating with our minds and hands,
can be a fulfilling thing.
It certainly can John, thank you.

Very true Andy some jobs were more a vocation which were a pleasure, whilst others were simply dire. Great piece of writing 👍
Thank you Andy, so very true.

I've been working 54 years (the last 40 yrs working self employed) and I am just giving up on it.... all NI stamps fully paid since day one.
I'm looking forward to enjoying retirement.
That’s great da, you have earned your retirement, enjoy it to the best of your ability.

If we love what we do, then we do what we love
and then, even the hardship of our work, melts away.
Very true Suresh, thank you.

In 51 years of working, I've learned many things. At 13 I really had no idea what I wanted to do, and not a lot of influence in how to work. But over time I did begin to learn that I was starting to know what it meant to want to make a difference. And from various people I've learned that I need to hold myself accountable for what I do. And you're right Andy, loving what you do is a happy life. Beautiful write. ; )
Thank you AP, going though life you learn things that cannot be taught, it is called experience.
