Wise Waiting

Tune: All through the night

('God who madest earth and heaven')

Psalm 27 v.8-14

***********

When you said, LORD, Seek you my face

I by your grace

My heart said unto you, Your face

I will it trace

I will seek it, hide not from me

So that by faith I your face see

Turn me not away in anger

You are sure there

You have been my help, leave me not

Blessed is my lot

Nor forsake me, O God of my

Salvation nigh

E'en if mother, father forsake

Me you will not leave, but uptake

Teach me your way, LORD, led me in

Plain path therein

Guard me from enemies, save me

They trouble be

With their lies and violence, see

And cruelty

I had fainted unless I so

Had believed your goodness below

On earth, in land of the living

You help me bring

Wait in faith on the LORD and be

Comforted free

Be of courage good, and He shall

Strengthen you well

In your heart, and close His presence

You shall know near and it true sense

Wait, I say, on the LORD always

Through nights and days

I strongly suspect Fido sees his god in your face.

Thanks dusk. You waiting for the No.7 bus? Has it arrived yet?!

That reads well for me this evening, Orchi. Really had a tiresome day.

Thank you for bringing back such memories in the video, Joyce and I had been to all those places except the first one.

Thanks Gold. I chose video at random - inspired? I could have chosen one of several others.
