Me

aznsupastarr

Look at me
Not my yellow skin
Almond eyes,
Straight black hair

Hear my heart
Not my broken English
Foreign sounds,
Loud noise

Feel my spirit
It's my pursuit
To be happy,
To be loved

Hopes and dreams
Fill my mind
With meaning,
And purpose

Dig beyond my surface
To roots of my soul
I am a person,
Same as you

Love this poem. We are all the same inside. Thank you for sharing this.

I've not heard of 'asian hate' before reading your comment. I see asian people as very attractive physically in general and from what i see, hard workers.
We are all individuals though and i know its not wise to generalise/pre judge. Please let us see some of your personality shining through in your poetry here.

Wonderfully said, to really see a person you must look through their eyes into their mind and heart.
