hope

dusk arising

With a quilted chiffon of despair laid before them,
the consequence of another wasted year resounds.
Cascading irridescant shards of yesterday's envy
churn into a mental vortex as compassion
illuminates a glimmering hope.

undying, and as always
.    underlying,
.          fortifying,
.               clarifying,
.                     unifying,
.                            justifying,
.                                  satisfying,
.                                        hope springs eternal
