the autumn sun flies high, illuminating blood-stained skies. Our sovereign nation under god betrays us with their lies.
the commander in chief is mere comedic relief to keep the real threats beneath.
Divide and conquer! So Only the rich will prosper! Herd the sheep, sort by color, they can never know they're brothers. Kill the lovers!
Can't hold me down! Won't blind my eyes! The people cast you down, see your diatribe, clown.
BLOOD! On the streets
BLOOD! Soaks the land
BLOOD! In my veins
BLOOD! On my hands
Don't let the man push you around! They can't shut you down. Their only hope is your ignorance! Know when to take the crown.
The public belief is in government relief, they know not what lies beneath...
Imprison! Enslave! The suits are all depraved. river of blood for the enclave, only the worthy to save
Can't keep me down, or poke out my eyes! When the people come around, there'll be...
BLOOD! On the streets
BLOOD! Soaks the land
BLOOD! In my veins
BLOOD! On my hands

'Divide and conquer!
So Only the rich will prosper!
Herd the sheep, sort by color,
(so) they can never know they're brothers
(and sisters or others more marginalised by society).
(and try as they might, they always fail)
(to) Kill the lovers!'
Amen!
what a great message, dear poet
we must always: 'fight, the good fight'!
though, checking ourselves continuously
through our outlook of humility and empathy
so we can, ask:
'grant us
the serenity to accept the things 'We' cannot change
courage, to change the things 'We' can
and (most importantly)
Wisdom to Know the Difference.'
(there-in exists the pertinent, difference
between David Thoreau, Gandhi, Martin Luther's
defiance within: 'Civil Disobedience'
and modernity's, ideology of totalitarian liberalism
futile nihilism fuelled: as all-out Anarchy
warping, ever-more divisive activism)
at least for me...
Eloquently put! Thank you so much
Great to witness anger so articulately expressed.
I don’t think the situation you very clearly describe is exclusively an American phenomenon – and I’m not excluding the other anglophone countries here.
Thank you! I suppose my American experience has narrowed my scope a bit... I can wait to visit the whole world and see how things are
Wonderfully expressed, that anger is there amongst many people but needs to be gathered into a system that can create a good world without spreading any blood over it.
