BUD

Jayasree

In a shadowed green glade

In the middle of the forest

A tiny bud waits

To unfurl it's velvety petals

To spread it's fragrance

It's tiny face turned

up to the blue skies

Waiting for the first kiss

of the Sun's rays.

Thank you so much. It's just a very humble effort on my part, but gives me so much happiness when appreciated.

beautifully worded, a juxtaposition in Art
between a panting's subtle nuances and how a Poet - transmutes
the hope fuelled words, it inspires:
see for me, that painting tells a harrowing tale
            where there's no shadows
            for all those vibrantly-striving budding rainbow of flowers;
            and that congealed figure
            of childhood innocence, blurrily shapes
            a shadow's pooling: chrysalis...

            • Jayasree

Thank you so much, warms my heart to see that, something which has given me so much happiness ,is giving happiness to others too.
Chrysalis to butterfly, bud to flower, hopes rising anew. Also it's another way of looking at it. Eloquent writing. Loved reading your view on that.
