Scars

John McChord

My scars have faded

But I am glad to wear them

Earn them, show them

The skin I’ve carried

Where there has been pain now beauty grows

Eruptions of life

Those marks once hidden now I will show

I will carry them well

I have lost nothing and gained the entire world

Very strong words John, those scars give the experiences in your life that have moved you forward into a better person.

    life-affirmingly, triumphant!
a battle cry: statement of intent...
