Past catching up with me,
Not stopping.
Four outstanding kids,
one beautiful wife.
money stays tight.
Skedaddle, I tell my kids.
Searching for gold,
losing jobs left and right.
Staying strong.
Moving up in the world,
steady money.
Suffer through,
not drinking, can’t do it.
Disaster strikes.
Mountain Goat believing in me,
through it all.
But there is a disturbance.
Mountain Goat has changed,
Rose Mary is different,
Lori now a new young woman.
Everyone has changed.
I can’t keep up.
I’m gone,
past caught up with me.

I always found the 'Glass Castle' a microcosm foreshadowing: glimpse
of what our civilised society would degrade, towards
if everyone just chose to prioritise themselves, above all else
and shirk any responsibility by disregarding accountability...
its ok to write endless words
where we are the sole victims in the universe
and nobody cares about us and blah blah blah
so long as we go and grab a bite: of our favourite treat, after...
yeah, its all ok
nihilism will take care of it all, anyway...
Wow😟... that’s...kinda dark😐 I like you😉
