In our lives we meet many people,
So many people.
We talk about so many things,
We do many things together,
But as we get older we may forget,
Forget what was said in conversation,
Stop remembering what we did together.
But in our life we will never forget,
Never forget how they made us feel.

Yes Andy, the feeling memory lingers on....And for the record, I ain't forgetting too much of anything ....yet!
Although perhaps I am forgetting that I've just forgotten whatever it is I'm trying......now where was I?
(How is it I beat orchi to the draw here? 😊)
Yes it surely does Dave.
I put the poem on here an hour earlier than normal as I was off to do the white lining on the croquet lawn. LOL
Andy
Oh I see - you wanted to get out there before 1066 shot you back and left all those intrepid croquet addicts stranded - was it cold out there ? I'll parcel you up a lump of sunshine (and wind, and humidity) if you really need it.....
Good write Gold.
Ohh, we never forgets 1066, even if we may forget more recent events, us two - and any other poets who were there in 1066 too!
Thanks Orchi.
So very true sir. I have made sure to include many memories into my pieces posted here on mps (and kept elsewhere). Re-reading them brings the moments to life vividly, things I will forget will hopefully be rekindled by my reading in later years should I be so lucky to reach them.
Those memories are so important for us to know that others will share them.

Thanks dear Andy for the number called Mem'ry with a beautiful rendering by Barbara S. and as for your verse of forgetting and recalling - - well I loved it all from the very first line.
Thank you Fay for your kind, meaningful words.

So true. Introspection that takes years to understand.
Very true John.

Yes Andy, may we never forget the people in our life. ; )
Totally agree AP.

Well written, Gold. Very enjoyable reading.
Thank you John, glad you enjoyed it.

So to the point. Some people, we even can not remember their faces, but the feelings are so vivid. Beautiful.
Yes those feelings are never forgotten Mandy.
Andy
a most meaningful and memorable message magnificently wrapped in a poem ...
