Of silence
Of solitude
Of quiet in the midst of all the noise.
Let me hear
My own thoughts
My heart as it beats
Each breath that I take.
Let me steep
In the calmness
In the peace
In the stillness of the day.
Let me dream
As I listen to the winds whisper
As the hush falls around me
As my mind searches for
The tranquil
The gentle
Amid the roaring.
Give me this moment.
Let me be.

I just found this one. Very nice writing. “Of quiet in the midst of all the noise.” I find I desire those moments. I’ve been working at my mom’s estate this week, something that is a challenge due to living in another state. She passed a few years ago. Anyway, after being here for a week I finally had a moment like that this morning. It always seems to take me several days of being away from my job and normal responsibilities to be able to enjoy a moment like you described in your writing. I’m enjoying that now and I will take that tranquil peace whenever I’m fortunate enough to find it.
