Too Many Options

H.R.Powell

I have a thousand lives I want to live

Famous artiste in every gallery

Mysterious yet admired

My opinion sought after

Isolated lighthouse keeper

Cold and damp

So gray

so hauntingly romantic

A homesteader in the woods

Animals and soil

My garden and my children

Not yet feral but nearly there

Shall I be Indian Jones

Could I be a Writer Poet

Perhaps own a book store

So many ideas and I have some time yet

Still young

So terribly young

Please don’t make me choose

Maybe you might be all of them in the course of a long colourful life, HR.
Don't even ask 'Please' - you do it.
And the very, most absolute best of luck.

Thank you for the kind words, Dave, I hope to achieve a variety of things, living a colorful life has now been added to the list!

more choice is a good thing, treasure it
maybe its that feeling of incessantly ticking Time
      that you find more constricting?
well, that too - is a choice, you can ignore
take your time, make your inevitable mistakes
just remember to enjoy the journey
and trust that the rest, will take care of itself..
      thanks for sharing

I take your comment to heart L.B. They say the experience along the way is half the journey, and I do not intend to spend my journey worrying. Thank you 🙂

We have many doors in our path of life and behind every one of them there are those dreams and thoughts we thought would never be part of us.
