Fireflies

Saxon Crow

I am here alone in this world im dreaming

No escape from it no need to need it

Yet the fireflies shine with endless meaning

Guiding me deeper into this world im dreaming

And i see you across this barriers edge

Through the universal fog

To another land

When our worlds collide

the fireflies shine

With endless meaning.

Guiding me closer to your lands end

But the moon she casts her shadow

Without remorse or hollow pity

A moment of kindness followed by cruel blindness

Yet the fireflies shine with endless meaning

A light in the darkness when the moon is weeping

I love, you love, we love with feeling

In our finite worlds dying dreaming

Yet the fireflies shine with endless meaning

On and on and on they fly

On and on with endless meaning

I like this and the message, no matter what is happening in our lives, the natural world carries on all around us regardless.
Poses the internal question... how important are my problems in the vast scheme of things?

Thanks DA. I don't really know where i was going with this one! Glad you got something from it 🙂

      A fine write SC.
It's them flies, or gnats, if not fireflies, that ya see on summery evenings buzzing about, I reckon! Did they inspire this?!

      • Saxon Crow

Them pesky little critters! Inspiration came from a singer called Nick Cave. He has a 'unique' but he is a true poet

I simply love to sit and watch the fireflies when I am in my little rural mountain retreat high in the Starra Planina mountains ...

I can quite easily lose myself for an hour or two ...

        but enough of that ...

I was captivated from the off my friend ............

        ... cheers 🙂

Nev that sounds awesome, if not slightly cold! Try cheddar gorge on a clear summers night for some beauty.

          Thanks for reading 🙂

You and I know that those fireflies will always lead us to a better life of love and beauty.

                your fingers, inking your thought's
                ergo: this is all yours
to decipher and imbue, with meaning...
