The Earth Is Healing

Jayasree

People confined,

never stepping out,

distancing themselves,

confused and scared;

panic in their eyes

like trapped animals in cages.

The price we pay

for our atrocities,

for our wrongdoings,

  and amidst the

chaos and confusion

nature starts healing.

The earth starts breathing again,

fresh air flowing

through mountains,

 polluted rivers and oceans.

Burnt forests

sprouting new leaves!

The earth is healing

slowly and silently.

Is the pandemic which

wrought havoc everywhere,

nature's way of reclaiming

what it has lost?

New life, New hopes!

But the oceans were no less full of human waste plastics pollution and now we are hearing of a new phenomenon 'ocean snot' pollution.

    • Jayasree

I read about that., all because of pollution, when will we realise our mistakes 🙁
We are killing ourselves and the generations to come too, they will bear the brunt of our actions.

I'd like to think it is healing, but it's got a very long way to go. Well penned Jayasree. ; )

Nature will be struggling to heal itself with home sapiens destroying it the way we are at this moment in time.
The healing during lockdown was wonderful it's a pity people cannot keep doing what they did during those times.
