Circle Fly’s

Jerry Reynolds

A politician spreading lies
Was busy swatting fly’s
Attracted to his shiny head.
“They won’t bite” it was alleged
“It’s just old circle fly’s
You see them mostly in the grasses,
Circling around horses asses.”
“YOU CALLING ME A HORSES ASS?”
The politician exclaimed.
Though disrespect could be claimed,
All the same -
“It’s hard to fool them fly’s.”

😊 Great little yarn of universal applicability, Jerry. Or as some folks round here might claim, that polly had brains where his bum shud 'a been.

Like the flag - symbol of decline....?

  • Jerry Reynolds

Thanks, Dave. "Polly had brains... " I love that line. We have a "Three Crapper" (useless) right now. Were working on it.

You deserve a prize for this one (thinking of a man with a huge comb-over who only abused you for a single term)/

    • Jerry Reynolds

Thanks, Dusk. Hopefully, a lot of shadows linger.

this, like most politically themed humour
is genuinely witty and worth an honest
      bellyful laughter - spectacle..
      or it would be
if it weren't so morosely and depressingly
      too: true...!
good write Jerry, too good - sadly, for me
