Who Dares

Fay Slimm.

Who Dares.

Hushed and hydrated,

Water-wet otters,

Fearsome attackers

Starvation dislike.

Hostile approaches,

Detract offensives

Fury shocks victims

Whose enemy fights.

         Fins caught in frenzy

Endurance begins,

Wildness in warfare

Means he who dares

......... WINS ........

They're marvelous creations those tenacious Otter. We have some in a brook in the city here which is quite remarkable. I hope to see them post pandemic.
Your words do justice to that action picture so well today.

      Love itFay. Love otters

      • Fay Slimm.

Yes otters have a charm all of their own S.C. and their movements are so fluid in water or on land. - am so glad you enjoyed the read.

Nature in the raw. Personified nicely in your short sweet verse, Fay.
But that's the balance - the way this nature should work.
The only problem is humankind, which has gone feral.

        • Fay Slimm.

Of course balance is nature's way Dave and the wild otter just has to eat - but agree that humanity has added loads of unneeded extras and yes become feral indeed.

          Law of nature....

          • Fay Slimm.

Too true Prem - - laws of nature cannot be altered and life in the wild shows they know its ways.

Good you noted the read could pre-suppose the reason for human wars too Jerry - - - thanks a lot for dropping by for a read of Who Dares.

Those fury creatures, ferocious in the art of survival, admired at a distance or by poetic words by you

                  • Fay Slimm.

Yes these wild ones who fight for survival each day would have to be admired from a distance methinks Suresh - - otters are very ferocious when hungry so I am told.

                    'Starvation dislike'
my submission for the most poetically, stark
                    understatement of the year, lol
