Tune & Hymn: 'To the river I am going'
Proverbs 3 v.1-9
**********
Do not now forget the LORD's laws
They shall keep you in way sure
Let your heart His commandments keep
So you guarded, still His sheep
For length of days, long life and peace
They shall add to you, not cease
Let not mercy, truth forsake you
Keep them in your heart, them view
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
Trust not to self, any part
Acknowledge Him in all your ways
He shall guide your paths all days
So shall you find favour, esteem
Your path lit by His bright beam
Be not wise now in your own eyes
Fear the LORD, trust to no lies
It shall be health to your body
Refreshment to your bones, see
Honour Him with all your substance
And with all your first-fruits thence

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.7.8.7. metre. I am unsure if this hymn has a Chorus. If it has, it is also in 8.7.8.7. One source says the Publication Date is 2011, so it's 'modern'. I thought I knew it before that year.
