My New Lady.

Goldfinch60

I seem to have become addicted,

Addicted to someone new in my life.

I have become with her most evenings,

A lady I had not known,

Not known until last week.

But she means so much to me,

So much in my times alone.

She pulls me into yet another world

Yet I only hear her sounds

As she plays her piano like no-one else.

Her sound brings relaxation,

Total relaxation to my body

And when she is playing

Somebody else is there

As I can feel my lover by my side

Pulled down from heaven.

We just sit and listen,

Listen to this wonderful sound

Being played by this lady,

This new lady of jazz

That is now in my life,

In our life.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Yet again music surprises me, the New Lady is called Beegie Adair, I only came across her a few days ago but she was born before I was. She is a Jazz pianist and has so many albums recorded and yet I had never heard of her.

Music can sooth the soul. Case in point Beegie and GF60. We listen to Beegie a lot. Terrific pianist.
