Tune: Mannheim
('Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us')
Psalm 37 v.23-31
*********
The steps of a good man (woman), they be
Established by the LORD, see
And he (she) delights in the LORD's way
Does seek it from day to day
Though he (she) fall, he (she) not utterly
Cast down, but upheld shall be
For the LORD upholds with His hand
The good, righteous in the land
I have been young, and now am old
But have not seen, it be told
The righteous forsaken, nor their
Descendants with meagre share
He (She) is ever merciful, lends
To the needy, to them tends
And his (her) descendants are blessed true
Here these words again anew
Depart from evil, and good do
And dwell for e'ermore, e'en you
For the LORD loves judgement, justice
Forsakes not His saints, sure this
They are preserved, kept, for ever
But wicked He shall sever
Righteous shall inherit the land
Dwell there ever, by God's hand
Mouth of righteous wisdom does speak
He (She) lives loving, humble, meek
His (Her) tongue speaks of judgement, justice
To know the Lord's way his (her) bliss)
Law of his (her) God is in his (her) heart
His (Her) steps not slip, no, no part

I like 5hisbon3 Orchi. But to possibly sound contentious who are the Lords descendents?
Thanks SC. Not contentious, but the good man/woman's descendants, I would say.
Why - oops, What - is 5hisbon3?!
Is it more complex, the poem, me being P.C.(politically correct) with the his and hers?
Oh 5hisbon3 is all the latest rage meaning 'this one'. Im surprised you don't know. Its not a typo error if that's what you're implying!
I don't know it! lol. i read of a Suzan, or Su3an (Suthreean?) or Su7an.(Susevenan)? I must stop talking rubbish now! lol.
write on Mr. O ...
Thanks N.
I pray that I may veer off the righteous path, but I know your words will guide me though
Thanks M.
