What shall I listen too I thought,
I know I will put on Carmina Burana,
The Carl Orff classic,
Not heard it for a long time.
The opening bars so powerful,
So loud and meaningful,
And there was I in tears
As it immediately threw me,
Threw such memories of my lover
When she was in the choir
Singing these notes to me.
Such wonderful memories
Brought back in a moment,
As the music took me to her,
And brought her to me.
The tears just would not stop
The love of her brought to me so strongly
From this piece of music,
As the notes she had sang
Took my emotions to her
And we were together again,
Back together as one,
All through this music.

- Comment from author about the poem: Joyce sang this in the choir several times and in one section it opens with a large thump on the kettle drum and in Joyce's music she had written "DON'T JUMP!" The video is the opening of the piece and this is what caused my words to be written.

of that transformative exchange
your poem depicts, Andy
between poetry's silent rhymes
and music chords
of bombastically triumphant symphony
where a Poet inks his truth
and we readers, willingly submit
to that Poetic escape, journey
of empathetic emotionality..
(such a wonderfully measured
melancholic flow
in your dedication, dear poet)
Thank you so very much for your kind words Mek.

Such stirring music. Joyce must have gained so much pleasure from being a part of this glorious sounding piece. I'm sure you knew of that pleasure and the joy she gave to the listening audiences.
Such marvellous memories this piece must evoke.
There will come a time maybe when a chorus of angels will sing this piece for you both, hand in hand again.
May your god bless the both of you.
Thank you so much d a, that chorus of angels is waiting there for us both when we will be together again.

Andy,
One of my favorite musical pieces.
O Fortuna…
egestatem,
potestatem
dissolvit ut glaciem.
Thank you for sharing this musical piece and your unforgettable loving memories of Joyce.

A whiff of breeze
A sound of music
A sight of familiar
Any and many more can invoke those treasured memories, as you have so lovingly, though with a tinge of sadness at her loss, amplified here.
Than k you suresh for your kind words, much appreciated.
Andy
