a walk

dusk arising

Let's go
for a walk she said.

The look in her eye
spells loving mischief.
We both know these
summer evenings
sun will still warm
cornfield nakedness.

Mutual attraction,
mutual desire,
was never so active
outside of dreamland.

And later
walking homeward,
the dusk arising,
mutual contentment
warms our every fibre.

    Nicely penned Dusk.
'the dusk arising' so many meanings in one. line.

  • Jerry Reynolds

    Good write, Dusk.
You have taken us to that cornfield before.

When fire is burning at both ends, lust takes over, as imaginatively emphasized

OOooh love that expression Dusk - - "cornfield nakedness" takes me back I must admit - - and when I read about Dusk arising I now think I know why - - or am I being naughty....... such a romantic walk with your memories dear friend.
