Blessings

Jayasree

I am blessed

and I am thankful.

But why then,

is my heart

filled with longing;

why is my mind restless,

seeking and searching

for something

like a weary traveler

seeking an oasis

in the endless desert of life,

why don't I realise

that life is a mirage...

why am I lost in the

musings of a wandering soul

restless, my heart fluttering

like a bird in a cage..

I know not.

I just know that

I should do my best,

for I am blessed

and I thank the lord

for all the blessings.

You sit still and take stock of your blessings but still there is something missing. Or is it somebody missing. A quandary indeed.
Maybe writing more poetry on this subject will help, poetry is so cathartic.

Those blessings are yours and that search in life will find you more and they too can be brought into such wonderful words like these are Jayasree.

Thank you all so much. Some days it's like that, but one gets over it. Writing and doing things which you like a lot gets you back on your feet in no time. We are resilient.

The answer you seek ….. is still elusive,
    Your ending lines……..are all conclusive.
