There's nothing more honest
Than moanin the blues
One man, one guitar
His life one big muse
Tapping that foot
And plucking a tune
'My baby gone and left me
She done me no good'
It's simple, it's easy
It's straight to the point
No flashy jazz standard
To distract and disjoint
The blues my companion
Over the years
It's helped me through troubles
And plenty of tears
You see the thing about blues
Is it's the great healer
And once I'm done singing
I always feel better
Blues my companion
My one true friend
You'll always be with me
Right til the end
And when im done dying and take my last breath
You'll be singing me to heaven
To meet me right there

So true in your life SC, music of any genre is so powerful in our lives.
Andy
That it is GF. Happy fathers day
You got the blues man, you got life.
Blues is so miluch more than the music. Its a history that comes from the heart
Yes I can see that - it just dovetails into a feeling of where I am at in the world. Take it easy, Sax
Good write SC.
Thanks Orchi

Oh yes!
you can beat an egg, but you sure can't beat a bit of blues ... well penned friend ..
Amen. Blues is the roots of all my playing.
Blues is the root to about 97% of modern day music!
Good write, S.C.
You don't write the blues. It comes to you. Start with a blues shuffle and wait... it will come.
Very true Jerry.
Dance away those troubled blues
Say good-bye with your happy shoes
Well written Sax. ; )
