Seeking Surety

Tune: Gwalchmai

('King of glory, King of peace')

Psalm 34 v.1-8

***********

I will bless the LORD all times

Throughout life's rhymes

Lord, help us, as David did

Praises not hid

May your praise be continual

On our lips all

As the Psalmist did express

'Twas joy in this

My soul shall make her boast in

The LORD, not sin

The humble shall of it hear

In praises clear

magnify the LORD with me

For He worthy

Exalt His name together

Sister, brother

I sought the LORD, he heard me

Answered my plea

Delivered me from all fears

Gave me good cheer

They looked to him, lightened they

Were in the way

Their faces were radiant

Not despondent

They not ashamed, they as I

To the LORD cry

He heard us, He did us save

us His help gave

Saved us out of all troubles

From our pitfalls

Help us trust still, so we shall

Through you fare well

The angel of the LORD, He

Does encamp, see

Round about them that Him fear

He to them near

And delivers them, O taste

It be no waste

Taste, see the LORD, He good is

Blessed we, true this
